Ludwig Philipp Albert Schweitzer OM (German: [ˈalbɛʁt ˈʃvaɪtsɐ] ⓘ; 14 January 1875 – 4 September 1965) was a German and French polymath from Alsace.He was a theologian, organist, musicologist, writer, humanitarian, philosopher, and physician.

Henriot-Schweitzer was born in Paris. Her father was Émile Henriot and her mother Françoise Riché. The conductors Fritz Münch and Charles Munch were her uncles by marriage. [2] She studied music at the Conservatoire de Paris in Marguerite Long's class. She won her first prize for piano in 1938, at the age of 13.
