The Dominican Sisters of Peace trace their heritage to the original Dominican foundation in America, the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Sienna, founded in 1822 in Springfield, Kentucky. [14] In 2009 seven Dominican congregations merged to form the new Dominican Sisters of Peace.
