Night Ranger is an American hard rock band from San Francisco, California.Formed in 1979 under the name "Stereo", the group was originally a trio composed of former Rubicon members Jack Blades (bass, lead vocals), Kelly Keagy (drums, lead vocals) and Brad Gillis (guitar, backing vocals). [1]
In 1982 the band changed its name to Night Ranger after a country band, the Rangers, claimed a trademark infringement. [8] By this point, they had recorded their debut album Dawn Patrol for Boardwalk Records and done opening stints for ZZ Top and Ozzy Osbourne; the latter had employed Brad Gillis as a replacement guitarist for the recently deceased Randy Rhoads, in the spring and summer of 1982.

Jeffrey Victor Watson (born November 5, 1956) is an American guitarist originally known as one of the founding members and lead guitarist of the hard rock band Night Ranger, in which he has played as co-guitarist with guitarist Brad Gillis. Watson developed his signature eight-fingered tapping technique during his time in the band. [1] [2]
Kelly Dean Keagy (born September 15, 1952) is an American drummer and vocalist, best known for his work with the hard rock band Night Ranger. [3] Keagy sang lead vocals on several of their hits, such as "Sister Christian", "Sing Me Away", and "Sentimental Street".
Night Ranger went on through the '80s releasing albums that sold by the millions, as well as several hit singles. A year later Alan Fitzgerald and Jeff Watson joined completing their original lineup. Their discography consists of 13 studio albums, nine live albums, six compilation albums and 16 singles.
A multi-instrumentalist, he is best known as the second bassist of Montrose [2] and as keyboardist for Night Ranger. [3] He has also performed with Gamma, [4] and former Montrose bandmate Sammy Hagar. Fitzgerald also worked as an offstage keyboard player with Van Halen, during their concerts from 1991 until 2004, [5] 2007, 2012.
