I can understand why the PS5 cannot play PS3 games, but it has emulators for PS1 and PS2 which is how it’s able to natively download and play those games. The PS5 can play DVDs, which is most of the PS2 games were on, and Blu-Ray players can read CDs, so Sony would need to just give us a software update to do so.
Are you able to mod a PS5 to play PS3, PS2 and PS1 games? I heard you were able to mod PS2 and PS1 games into those slim and superslim PS3 models and was wondering if you can do it on a PS5 as well. Also, is the PS5 slim backwards compatible? Just wondering

It also has limited compatibility, some games just refuse to work with it. You can get a 3rd party dongle that completely spoofs a Dualsense as a Dualshock 3, and that works pretty phenomenally. I got one on Amazon for $40, which is expensive but worth it to me. I've been playing like OP, and it's really hands down the best way to play PS2 ...
Before then you needed Xbox Live Gold to play F2P games online, and if it weren't for that massive backlash in 2021 you still would. also previous console gens had free multiplayer Not on Xbox, Xbox Live multiplayer has always been a paid service. PS2 had basically no online multiplayer.
Yes, you can play games directly from the added internal storage. I’m not sure why people would want to transfer the games to the original ssd. Sounds like a myth and a good way to shorten the lifespan of your ssd drives.
No, not really. The PS5 was made to be backward compatible with PS4 games. There was a list of only 10 games that weren't and I've read that two of them were patched to work now.
