@kamill this is one layer of cake which is 2" tall. You can torte this and fill to get same amount of servings. If making 2 layers (each 2" tall) then you'd get about twice as many servings because it's so much taller
a quarter sheet is a 9x13 a 12x18 is a true half sheet and two 12x18's put long sides together is a full sheet. Hope that helps. o BTW hun, all a sheet cake is is a cake baked in a flat, rectangular pan usually no taller than 2 inches.
Welcome, my sheets are as follows 9x13 is quarter, 11x15 is a third and 12x18 is a full. These are the sizes that I offer and I sell them not as a sheet but a rectangle as I double them with a filling and I double the servings.
Two 12x18's make a full sheet. Two 11x15's is NOT a "full" sheet. If you seam two 12x18's together, you have a single layer 18x24. There is no reason you can't stack something on top of this ..... just like you would put any other cake on top of any other single layer cake. I've done it too many times to mention.
I am a cake decorator for walmart and I can't say that I know the exact dimensions of our full sheet off the top of my head either.... But I do know where the school supplies aisle is! All of our cakes come in frozen half sheet size and we cut them in half or put two together to get 1/4's and wholes.
Okay, the OP asked what a true full sheet cake size is (not a couture custom size) and if 12x18 is considered a full sheet. The answer to part two is no. (I guess you can decide for yourself the answer to part one based on actual pan sizes.)
A true commercial full sheet (16" x 24") serves 96 (unit wt. 106-124 oz.). If this size pan doesn't fit in your oven, and you are baking two 12" x 18" (54 serving) half sheets, they would serve 108 total.
oversized 1/2 sheet: 12x18 undersized full sheet: 15x22 (2-11x15's together) full sheet: 16x24 (2-12x16's together) Of course, every one and every bakery is different, but the dimensions add up perfectly with these sizes. I normally just ask people how many servings they need.
The industry standard for a FULL SHEET is either 16" x 24" or 18" x 26". A quarter sheet is 9" x 13" and a half-sheet is 12" x 16" or 12" x 18". The way you configure a sheet cake is according to how large a pan your oven will accommodate.
Full Sheet = 16x24 (baked in 18x26 Bun pan with bakeable cardboard tray). Additional full sheet info: A commercial Bun pan is 18" x 26" (outside measurement), and because they are tapered for nesting or making them stackable, the inside measurement is 16.5" x 24.5". A commercial full sheet is 16" x 24".
