Palatine Community Consolidated School District 15, often initialized CCSD15, is a school district in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois with its headquarters in the Joseph M. Kiszka Educational Service Center in Palatine. [4]
Plum Grove School is a historic one-room school located near Laclede, Linn County, Missouri. It was built about 1905, and is a one-story, gable end, frame building. Also on the property is a contributing coal house with woodshed. The school closed in 1947. [2]: 5, 13 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. [1]
Over the next 2 years, some businesses were started at Plum Grove. [2] On October 7, 1872 a county election passed funding bonds for a proposed railroad through the Whitewater River valley. The route was close to Plum Grove, so it was decided to move the tiny community 1.5 miles (2.4 km) west to ensure it would be next to the future railroad.
The district was founded in 1915, and includes all grades from kindergarten through high school . As of 2018, there were 58 elementary schools , 14 junior high schools , 11 high schools , and 9 special purpose schools [ 1 ] serving approximately 78,659 students, [ 2 ] making it the largest school district in Utah.
By 1981, grades K-5 began going to the new Pritchett Elementary School. In the late 1980s, Tripp Middle School was built serving grades 3–5, at which point Pritchett Elementary served only grades K-2. Aptakisic School was then a junior high serving grades 6, 7, and 8.
The name PENNCREST is derived from the words Pennsylvania, Cambridge Springs, Randolph, East Mead, Saegertown, and Townville. Its physical plant at one point in time consisted of a total of four K-4 and two K-6 elementary schools, two 5–8 middle schools, two 9–12 high schools, and one 7–12 joint high school.
