The museum consists of 20 display rooms, each with a different focus. At the entrance visitors are given a short history of the museum and can see portraits of former Chiefs of Staff of the army. On either side of the entrance are rooms dedicated to Sudirman (to the east) and Oerip (to the west), the first leaders of the Indonesian military.
