Souris Beach Gateway Park is a day-use park located near the town of Souris in eastern Prince Edward Island, Canada.The beach is very shallow, allowing visitors to walk several hundred feet from shore on an all sand bottom.
The Brackley Beach area became a popular vacation spot in the late 19th century, and its shoreline was designated as part of the national park in 1937. Activities include deep sea fishing, bike, canoe and kayak rentals, horseback riding, campgrounds, several restaurants and dairy bars as well as Prince Edward Island's only drive-in theater.
In 1872 the Prince Edward Island railway was inaugurated to connect Winsloe placed towards the mainline between Charlottetown and Summerside and afterwards towards the Port Borden. Many developments were created in the community in 1970s - 1990s. On April 1st, 1995 its status was upgraded to villages and several subdivisions.

Fortune Bridge is a small unincorporated area on Lot 43, East Parish, King County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. It is located west of the Town of Souris. [1] [2] [3] Author Elmer Blaney Harris built a summer home and founded an artist colony in Fortune Bridge.
