"Best Friend" is a song by American rapper Yelawolf featuring fellow American rapper Eminem. [1] It was released on April 14, 2015 as the fifth single from the former's second studio album Love Story (2015) via Shady and Interscope Records . [ 2 ]
Yelawolf's early introduction to hip-hop came as a result of his mother's boyfriend being a sound designer for Aerosmith around the time that the Run-DMC version of "Walk This Way" was released, and made friends with the trio. Yelawolf recalls Run-DMC visiting his childhood home and giving him some Beastie Boys' Licensed to Ill cassette tapes. [69]
