Akkara Kazhchakal (transl. Sights of a foreign land) [1] is an Indian Malayalam-language sitcom that aired on Kairali TV from 2008 to 2010. The series consisted of fifty episodes which chronicled the lives of a middle-class Malayali family settled in the United States of America. [ 2 ]
The series ended after 50 episodes and the team put together a stage show based on the series. Based on the positive feedback from the show, they decided to make a film based on the series. The film is produced by Bom (Best of Malayalam) TV, a US-based Internet TV provider. [2] The screenplay is written by Ajayan Venugopal.
Before his debut into the film industry, He was doing a character role in the hit sitcom Akkara Kazhchakal. His character was well received by the family audience along with the sitcom. He was able to tour across the United States, Canada, and the European Union; performing shows on a variety of stages based on Akkara Kazhchakal.
