Vouvray (French pronunciation: ⓘ) is a French wine region in the Loire Valley located in the Touraine district just east of the city of Tours in the commune of Vouvray. The Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) is dedicated almost exclusively to Chenin blanc ; the obscure and minor grape Arbois is permitted but rarely used.
Vouvray AOC moelleux Domaine Huet 1985 Domaine Huet is a wine estate located in Vouvray , France, in the region of the Loire Valley . Founded in 1928 by Victor Huet and his son Gaston Huet, [ 1 ] it is known for producing exceptional wines from chenin blanc .
The castle estate is one of the last châteaux of the Loire Valley to still be producing wine. [2] In addition to producing a Muscadet, the Goulaine winery produces a Sancerre and a Vouvray, as well as what is believed to be the first commercial Chardonnay in the western Loire Valley. The estate also grows some Folle blanche.
