All 'n All is the eighth studio album by the American band Earth, Wind & Fire, released in November 1977 by Columbia Records. [1] The album peaked at No. 1 on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.
After moving to Los Angeles, Willis worked as a songwriter at A&M Records from 1977, [7] and also wrote songs with, and for, Patti LaBelle and Herbie Hancock. [7] She worked at a comedy club and hung posters for four years. A mutual friend introduced her to Verdine White, and in turn to Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire.
The writing process for the book started in January 2022. Robert Palmer of The New York Times noted "Mr. (Milton) Nascimento, and Brazilian pop in general, combine African-derived rhythms that tend to be more flowing and buoyant than their North American funk counterparts with a melodious pop lyricism based on relatively complex, jazzy harmonies, and Maurice White has done something very similar on Earth, Wind and Fire's Powerlight album."
