In 1983, Sunset High School was honored in the Blue Ribbon Schools Program, the highest honor a school can receive in the United States. Sunset High School is a public secondary school located in the North Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas, United States. The school enrolls students in grades 9 - 12 and is a part of the Dallas Independent School District (DISD).
The school was moved to a private house, and had moved a few more times after before a new wooden structure was built in 1906. [2] It was considered to a be a junior high school in 1906, offering education for grades 1–7. [2] The current Sunset High School building was completed in 1926, and featured a two-story brick masonry structure. [2]
