Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Oklahoma City (often shortened to Hurricane Harbor OKC) [1] is a water park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma built in 1981. Built by the Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation and originally known as White Water, the water park was picked up by Premier Parks (then known as Tierco) in 1991 and its name was changed to White Water Bay.
The first resort within Las Vegas city limits, it had 100 rooms on two floors. [3] While Moore and Houssels ran the hotel, the casino was leased by a group of managers from the Desert Inn, including Moe Dalitz. [2] The Showboat opened on September 3, 1954. [4]
In 1986, casino owner Steve Wynn purchased the Castaways and nearby vacant property with plans to build a new resort on the land. The Castaways closed on July 20, 1987. Wynn's new resort, The Mirage, opened in 1989. The Castaways name would later be used for the Showboat Hotel and Casino on Boulder Highway, starting in 2001.

The resort underwent a large-scale refurbishment in 2007. In 2008, the Sea World Water Park became part of the resort with regular park guests having to pay an additional fee to make use of the water park. [88] In 2010, part of the Water Park was demolished to make way for Castaway Bay. [30] [89]
