Many members have discussed ketamine as an adjunct to their mental health or depression treatments, and some for neuropathy pain as well. I went with the IV ketamine treatment so I haven't used the nasal spray. From what I understand, the nasal spray just uses the S molecule of ketamine while the IV uses S and R.
Once your pain starts to come back (usually 2 weeks or more after your 3rd infusion), you then go back and receive a "booster" infusion. The relief can last well beyond 2 weeks and you then return for any "booster" infusions. For chronic pain and Neuropathy, the infusions are 2 hours long. Hi, my name is Doreen. I posted information about Ketamine in the Neuropathy group. I have used it since 2011 for nerve pain and other chronic pain issues. If they were giving you opiates or any other addictive meds for pain, the odds are about zero that it helped. Addictive meds of any type block the effects of Ket.

It's a very small operation but it does great work. I don't know about ketamine for chronic pain being insured or not. There is a new version of ketamine that is a nasal spray but it only uses one of the ketamine molecules, not both so it isn't always as effective. I don't know if that is usable for chronic pain.

Does anyone on here undergo routine ketamine infusions for SFN? I have been receiving infusions for 12 months now, starting out at 1hr 60mg a month to my current 2hr 120mg twice monthly. Although the treatment does not eliminate pain altogether, it does take the edge off and I get several days following each treatment where I have increased energy.
