Brockway is located on the north shore of Lake Tahoe on State Line Point, adjacent to the Nevada state border. [2] It lies at an elevation of 6266 feet (1910 m). [1] The Brockway post office operated from 1901 to 1966. [2] The name honors Nathaniel Brockway, uncle of the first postmaster. [2]
Incline Village is an upscale census-designated place (CDP) on the north shore of Lake Tahoe in Washoe County, Nevada, United States. The population was 8,777 at the 2010 census. [4] It is part of the Reno−Sparks Metropolitan Statistical Area. Until the 2010 census, the CDP Crystal Bay, Nevada was counted jointly with Incline Village.
This small community is about 10 mi (16 km) south of Incline Village, and about 12 mi (19 km) north of South Lake Tahoe, California. According to the United States Census Bureau , the CDP has a total area of 4.0 square miles (10.4 km 2 ), of which 3.8 square miles (9.8 km 2 ) is land and 0.23 square miles (0.6 km 2 ), or 5.43%, is water.

Kings Castle Hotel and Casino was a hotel and casino owned and operated by Nathan "Nate" Jacobson on the north shore of Lake Tahoe in Incline Village, Nevada. [1] It opened in 1970 and closed after Jacobson filed for bankruptcy in 1972. [2]
Northstar was a former lumber site once owned by the Douglas Lumber Company of Truckee and was acquired by Fibreboard when they purchased Douglas in 1967. [1] Its original name was Timber Farm, but was changed to Northstar-at-Tahoe when the mountain opened 53 years ago in December 1972. [2]
