Unlike its sister stations, though, WEEI-FM played hits from the past several years as well as the hits of the current day. At midnight on March 9, 1983, WEEI-FM changed its call sign to WHTT, and re-branded as "HitRadio 103" and then "Power 103". The first song under WHTT and their new format was "Back On The Chain Gang" by The Pretenders.
