    I will try to keep this link updated anytime there are any documents worth updating. The best ones as of now are in the ILLFF folder Item #’s 29 &30. There are lots of claims against all kinds of companies on Delhi road. This is the same road as Agrisolutions & Family Farms. It looks like it costs a lot to be a member of a family farms team.

    It was hard to get an official answer about hauling family farm grain, felt like they (DOT) were playing games, so for liability reasons I went ahead and got the D license. Glad I did, learned a lot, feel that I am a better driver because of the training.

    If the parents were concerned on continuing the family farm, things would have been set up to do so and plans communicated early. There is some good info here. Big, big decision to be made but bottom line is if a legacy is to be continued, it takes a plan from those in ownership to make it happen and secure it.

    A smart family farm that is going to last for generations should have the mentality (and be teaching the next generation) that it doesn’t matter whose name is currently on the land. It’s the family’s, and it’s the role of each generation to assure that the existing acreage is preserved and hopefully expanded when possible.
