If I hit the "windows" key, I can immediately switch to start screen. But what if I don't want to use the (physical) keyboard at all? If you can't access Settings, then you may have to boot up your PC in Advanced Recovery Mode. To do so, restart your computer and press Shift + F8. From there you may find the Refresh / Reset options. Remember, before doing anything use the most common troubleshooting option, boot in Safe Mode.
