Let’s do some math. At the lower end (2 per 1,000): 336,000,000 / 1,000 * 2 = 672,000 people in the U.S. who are deaf.

    CASE: Conceptually Accurate Signed English. Same as SEE 1 and 2 but it doesn't use the 2 out of 3 rule (thank goodness). PSE: Pigeon Signed English. This system uses ASL signs, almost completely conceptually accurate, no prefixes, and includes non-manual markers (expression, eyebrow movement, body shifts).

    Feb 7, 2015. #3. There are some 'loose' communities I guess where there might be a small concentration of deaf people but as far as housing within a deaf community- that is near impossible to find. Closest you'll find maybe are nursing homes/retirement homes (I know of one in PA).
