Norwegian Sun is the third and final ship of this design. She was preceded by Norwegian Sky (entered service in 1999, relaunched as Pride of Aloha in 2004); and Costa Victoria of Costa Cruises (entered service in 1996). NCL defines both Norwegian Sun and Norwegian Sky as Sun class ships. [1]
Norwegian Pearl is the third of NCL's four Jewel-class ships. She is a training ship for new or returning crew members. She was preceded by Norwegian Jewel in 2005, and Pride of Hawaii (now Norwegian Jade) in 2006. She was followed by Norwegian Gem in 2007. Each ship has different amenities, but has a similar exterior and interior design.
Vistafjord was ordered by Norwegian America Line (NAL) from Swan Hunter, Newcastle, England. [1] She was based on the company's 1965-built MS Sagafjord, but with an enlarged hull, additional superstructure deck and improved interior layout. [7]
