Gilman is an abandoned mining town in southeastern Eagle County, Colorado, United States.The Gilman post office operated from November 3, 1886, until April 22, 1986. [3] The U.S. Post Office at Minturn (ZIP Code 81645) now serves Gilman postal addresses.
The cabins were originally constructed in 1925 along the Lincoln Highway, giving automobile tourist lodging accommodations while travelling through Wyoming. The site was active from 1925 until 1936. It was sold to a new owner in 1941, but was likely never again opened. The site remained essentially abandoned from 1948 until 1996.
