The Recorder’s Division is responsible for the recording of deeds, deeds of trust, court decrees and many other documents affecting title to real property in Contra Costa County. The division also maintains Uniform Commercial Code filings, subdivision maps, vital records, including birth, death and marriages within the county.
Maps & Records. The Contra Costa County Public Works Department uses an electronic records system known as Laserfiche Weblink, which is used by municipalities nationwide to retrieve and manage documents. This system allows citizen access to various public records.
