The series originally ran on NBC with host Guy Fieri and was revived in 2013 on Game Show Network (GSN) with Apolo Ohno presenting the show.

On October 6, 2010, Minute to Win It was awarded the C21/Frapa Award for Best studio based game show format at the MIPCOM Television Festival in France. [1] A card game, board game, and video game versions for the Wii, [2] Kinect [3] and Nintendo DS have been made for this show. The U.S. season two finale aired on September 7, 2011.
The concept for Minit was inspired by an earlier project from Jan Willem Nijman and Kitty Calis when they participated in an Adventure Time-themed game jam in 2012. The original game involved 1-minute long episodes. Years later, Willem and Calis wanted to make a new game with the same concept and recruited Jukio Kallio and Dominik Johann. [4]
The game came in two variations: 1 vs. 100 Live and 1 vs. 100 Extended Play. [1] The Live version was hosted by Chris Cashman in North America [2] and James McCourt in the UK and Ireland, [3] and places a single contestant as "The One" against a group of 100 that make up "The Mob", with the rest of the players making up "The Crowd".
