Maysville High School is a public high school in the Maysville Local School District which is located in the southern portion of Muskingum County, Ohio, just south of the city of Zanesville. The main campus, comprising 95 acres (380,000 m 2 ), houses approximately 2,300 students in the elementary, middle and high school.
The first school house (a log-cabin) was built and opened in 1803. There have been five different buildings housing Zanesville High School. The first was on 9th Street 1842 till 1884, which was razed to build Pioneer Elementary School. The second in 1884, and in 1908 became Hancock Junior High School, when the new high school was built.
