Ranger Red's Zoo and Conservation Park, formerly Peel Zoo, is a zoo and wildlife sanctuary located on the banks of the Murray River in Pinjarra, Western Australia. It is a member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association. [1] It is home to over 100 native and exotic animal species, and specializes in being a "hands-on" zoo.
Pinjarra station is located on the South Western Railway and served by Transwa's twice daily Australind service from Perth to Bunbury. [12] In September 2012 a Transperth bus service was inaugurated between Murray Hospital in southern Pinjarra and Mandurah railway station, via Mandurah Forum on Pinjarra Road, and Pinjarra town centre. The Fairbridge Festival is a music festival held annually since 1993 at Fairbridge village near Pinjarra in Western Australia until 2023. The festival is held over a weekend in April and is FolkWorld Inc.'s flagship annual event. Visitors staying for the whole weekend can camp in the surrounding fields in tents or vans.
The town was originally known as Drakesbrook, and was first settled by John Fouracre in 1891.A railway station on the Pinjarra to Picton Junction railway line with the name "Drake's Brook", named after William Henry Drake, an Assistant Commissioner General and original landholder in the area (1847), opened in September 1893 and the town was surveyed and gazetted by March 1895.
Pinjar is home to the Wanneroo Raceway, a 2.411 km (1.498 mi) road racing circuit.The raceway which opened in 1969, is the home of motor racing in Western Australia and hosts an annual round of the Supercars Championship.

Forrest Highway is the southern section of State Route 2, continuing south from Kwinana Freeway at a folded diamond interchange with Pinjarra Road.
