Sergio Michel "Checo" Pérez Mendoza (Latin American Spanish: [ˈseɾxjo ˈpeɾes] ⓘ; born 26 January 1990) is a Mexican racing driver, who most recently competed in Formula One from 2011 to 2024. Pérez was runner-up in the Formula One World Drivers' Championship in 2023 with Red Bull , and won six Grands Prix across 14 seasons.
