Potchefstroom (locally / ˈ p ɒ tʃ ɛ f s t r ʊər m / POTCH-ef-stroorm; [2] Afrikaans pronunciation: [ˌpɔtʃɛfˈstruəm]), colloquially known as Potch, is an academic city in the North West Province of South Africa.
