His breeders were David Tsui, the owner of Urban Sea, and "Orpendale", a name used by the Coolmore Stud organisation for some of their breeding interests. [4]
Black Minnaloushe retired from racing to become a breeding stallion for the Coolmore Stud and stood at the Ashford Stud in Kentucky. He was shuttled to stand at the Windsor Park Stud in New Zealand [ 19 ] for the Southern Hemisphere breeding season and immediately impacted Australasia. [ 20 ]
