A 16 ft Skiff is a class of three-person sailing dinghy with twin trapezes and a large asymmetrical spinnaker. The class is unique to Australia, where it is one of the most popular boats sailing with 75 boats registered in 7 clubs. The class has the largest fleet of high performance skiffs on the east coast of Australia.
The boat is built in fiberglass, originally by De Havilland Marine (Sydney c1967), then Blue Water marine (until 2008) and most recently Corsair Dinghy Marine. It is a rather heavy boat, with minimum race weight being 136 kg and many boats frequently exceeding that.
Naden Boats is a line of aluminum fishing boats manufactured in Canada by Temagami Boat Manufacturing Inc. Six models are offered, ranging from 11’11" to 16’ in overall length. They are noted for their expanded polystyrene flotation, rigid construction, and semi-V planing hull with five keels.

The Rebel 16 is a recreational sailboat, built predominantly of fiberglass with some areas with balsa or foam cores. It has a fractional sloop rig with a rotating mast and hard-coated aluminum spars. the hull has a spooned plumb stem, a vertical transom, a kick-up, transom-hung rudder controlled by a tiller and a retractable steel centerboard.
The 49er's name comes from its hull length of 4.99 metres (16 ft 4 in). It incorporates ideas developed in Julian Bethwaite's 18ft Skiffs, notably the Prime Computer series of boats, which were double handers.
