A Sambalpuri sari is a traditional handwoven bandha sari (locally called "sambalpuri bandha" sadhi or saree) wherein the warp and the weft are tie-dyed before weaving. It is produced in the Sambalpur , Bargarh , Balangir , Boudh and Sonepur districts of Odisha , India.

Fabrics are mainly marketed by PWCS and SHGs [clarification needed] traders through the Boyanika (OSHWCS), Sambalpuri Bastralaya, SERIFED, Pvt. traders. Sales also take place at exhibitions and in local markets.

He nurtured, tutuored and guided the weaving community to improve their skills . He is known as the father of Sambalpuri -Textiles who herald the era of Baandha Art.
