The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (abbr. TNMGRMU) is a government medical university situated in Guindy in the southern part of the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is about 7 km from the Chennai International Airport and about 13 km from the Chennai Central Railway Station .
The institution runs a medical college within the campus. The medical college has 50 UG (MBBS) seats. As the construction of the campus is not completed, classes of the first batch were taken at the Ramanathapuram Medical College.
