UEFA Euro 2024 was an international football tournament held in Germany that took place from 14 June to 14 July 2024. The 24 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 23 to 26 players – of which three had to be goalkeepers – by 7 June 2024, 23:59 CEST (), seven days prior to the opening match of the tournament. The 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Euro 2024 (stylised as UEFA EURO 2024) or simply Euro 2024, was the 17th UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international football championship organised by UEFA for the European men's national teams of their member associations.
The teams were drawn into ten groups: seven groups of five teams (Groups A–G) and three groups of six teams (Groups H–J). The draw started with the UNL Pot and Pot 1, and continued from Pot 2 to Pot 6, from where a team was drawn and assigned to the first available group (based on draw conditions) in alphabetical order. The knockout stage of UEFA Euro 2024 began on 29 June 2024 with the round of 16 and ended on 14 July 2024 with the final at Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany. [ 1 ] All times listed are Central European Summer Time .
