College Football Hall of Fame Joseph Edward Tryon (July 25, 1900 – May 1, 1982) was an American football player and coach. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1963.
John Francis "Count" Orsi (November 11, 1908 – February 7, 1978) was an American football player and coach. He played college football at Colgate University and an end. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1982.
He played college football as a quarterback at Colgate University. [1] Huntington also served as the 19th head football coach at Colgate, holding that position for three seasons, from 1919 until 1921 and compiling a record of 10–10–5. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1972.
Frank J. "Buck" O'Neill (March 6, 1875 – April 21, 1958) was an American football player and coach. He served as head football coach at Colgate University (1902, 1904–1905), Williams College (1903), Syracuse University (1906–1907, 1913–1915, 1917–1919), and Columbia University (1920–1922), compiling a career college football coaching record of 87–45–9.
While at Colgate, he set the school's single-season rushing record in 1973 with 1,089 yards. [3] In his three college seasons, van Eeghen rushed for 2,591 yards and 27 touchdowns, while also catching 31 passes for 361 yards and 2 scores. [4] Van Eeghen was inducted into Colgate's Hall of Honor in 1980. [5]
