The Louisiana and Delta Railroad (reporting mark LDRR) is a short-line railroad headquartered in New Iberia, Louisiana. LDRR operates over 114 miles of branch line in southern Louisiana between Lafayette, Louisiana and Raceland, Louisiana, with most of the lines near US 90. LDRR operates via trackage rights on the BNSF Railway.
Raceland is located at (29.722576, -90.605172), [5] on both sides of Bayou Lafourche It is bordered to the southeast by Mathews.. U.S. Route 90 (future Interstate 49) passes through the southeast part of Raceland, leading northeast 44 miles (71 km) to New Orleans and west 40 miles (64 km) to Morgan City.
US 90 enters Louisiana at the Texas line over the Sabine River as part of I-10. Separating at exit 4 and running parallel on the north side of I-10 through Sulphur, before rejoining I-10 east of Westlake, crossing the Calcasieu River, and again splitting from I-10 at exit 31B (running on the south side of I-10) going through Lake Charles as Fruge, West 4th, then East 4th, before leaving town.

Louisiana Highway 651 (LA 651) ran 1.3 miles (2.1 km) in a north–south direction along Bowie Road in Raceland, Lafourche Parish.. The route began at LA 308, which runs along Bayou Lafourche, and proceeded to a point on the Texas & New Orleans Railroad line (now the BNSF/Union Pacific Railroad) where the community of Bowie was once located.
LA 3052 ended at an interchange with US 90 and LA 3198 (now LA 182) south of Raceland. It was a four-lane controlled-access highway for its entire length. In the early 1960s, construction began on the first project that would eventually relocate US 90 and US 167 onto a new four-lane alignment between Opelousas and Raceland.
