Crossroads is a multisite interdenominational megachurch in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was named the 4th-largest and the fastest-growing church in America in 2017, [1] with over 34,000 average weekend attendees. Crossroads has nine physical locations in Ohio and Kentucky, and an online streaming platform where over 6,000 people watch services weekly. [2]
Crossroads, one of Delaware County’s oldest settlements, was established in the 1830s at the intersection of what are now County Roads 600 West and 700 South. The hamlet developed as a natural meeting point along early dirt roads connecting local settlements, including the Yorktown Road and the Muncie and Middletown Road.
Notable contributing resources include the Lantz Building (1941), Reincke-Hawkins House (c. 1860), Castle Block (1894), Baker-Yost House (c. 1847), First Presbyterian Church (1899), and Gladden-Goldsbury House (c. 1878). [2] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. [1]

When the New England settlers arrived in what is now Decatur there was nothing but a dense virgin forest and wild prairie. [6] Decatur was founded by Samuel Rugg in 1836. [7] [8] It was named for Stephen Decatur, Jr., one of the captains of the original six frigates of the US navy. [9] A post office was established in Decatur in 1837. [10]
