The Coombe Hospital (/ ˈ k uː m /; Irish: Ospidéal an Chúim) is a voluntary teaching hospital providing a range of medical services to both women and newborn infants in Dublin, Ireland. It is managed by Dublin Midlands Hospital Group. [1]
St. James's Hospital [1] (Irish: Ospidéal San Séamas) [1] is a teaching hospital in Dublin, Ireland. Its academic partner is Trinity College Dublin. It is managed by Dublin Midlands Hospital Group. [2]
The hospital was officially opened by Seán T. O'Kelly, Minister of Local Government and Public Health, as Westmeath County Hospital on 27 April 1936. [2] [3] It evolved to become the General Hospital, Mullingar and benefited from major extensions which opened in 1988 and 1994. [4]
