This is very strange, it is trans, trans in the union file and cis,cis in the wikichem file (I have been using the union file to verify CAS numbers). I need to look into this. Ambix 12:47, 12 February 2009 (UTC) Glucose 1-phosphate One chiral center is not specified (should be up to match CAS). (probably a result of copying glucose skeleton, in ...
According to CAS, his visionary view of CAS' potential "led to expansion, modernization, and the forging of international alliances with other information organizations." [15] CAS was an early leader in the use of computer technology to organize and disseminate information. [16] The CAS Chemical Registry System was introduced in 1965.
:) For the entries that had a CAS number, I searched for that CAS number using SciFinder and checked if it matched the structure in the PDF file. There was one case where the stereochemistry of the structure in the PDF was wrong, but the structure in the WP article was correct!
Some registration systems such as the CAS system make use of algorithms to generate unique hash codes to achieve the same objective. A key difference between a registration system and a simple chemical database is the ability to accurately represent that which is known, unknown, and partially known.

Substructure search is used to retrieve from a database of chemicals those which contain the pattern of atoms and bonds specified by a user. It is implemented using a specialist type of query language and in real-world applications the search may be further constrained using logical operators on additional data held in the database.
