REQUIREMENTS FOR SHEET METAL PART DRAWINGS. Sheet metal parts are typically created from material less than .250 inches thick, and are formed by folding the material at specific locations with a controlled bend radius. See document 10-0005, Blah Drawing & Drafting Standards and Practices, for the proper setup of a sheet metal drawing.

You must have the "Flat Pattern" developed in the sheet metal model before it becomes available to create the drawing view. You do not have to have it active but it must be developed in the model.

In the drawing the custom property value can be used in Text, title block property, parts list, sketched symbol, etc. Of course, this will be the full rule name, not just the gauge. https://c3mcad.com.

jhackney1972. in reply to: jcsantilli. 11-21-2020 05:06 PM. Check out the process in the Screencast. I did the sheet metal part folded on one sheet, flat pattern on another and also folded and flat pattern on the same sheet. The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported.
Once you place the flat pattern view in your 2D drawing you have one of two options: 1. Use the Leader tool and select the bend line, this will add an associated bend note. Once placed you can select it and drag it using the grip and that will add a leader line to it. Double-click the bend note to edit the text.

This limitation can be avoided by creating single body sheet metal components. For designs already containing multiple sheet metal bodies, For each sheetmetal body need to create a new drawing and hide other bodies.
