Rooms To Go. Rooms To Go (stylized as ROOMS TO GO ) is an American furniture store chain. The company was founded in September 1990 [2] by Jeffrey Seaman and his father Morty Seaman after they sold Seaman's Furniture. [3] According to Furniture Today, as of 2015 Rooms To Go is the third largest furniture retailer in the US.
The store experience includes walking narrow hallways with stairways to multiple levels and the occasional dead end. [6] A map describing the contents of each of the 32 rooms is available for visitors. [6] The Book Loft covers 7,500 square feet of space, and along with books the store sells jigsaw puzzles, posters, and other merchandise. [7]
A store, Big Lots Store No. 1, was in Berwick Plaza Shopping Center in Columbus, Ohio. The first store in the Big Lots chain was a former Kroger store in the same shopping center. The store later moved to the former Buckeye Mart /Sarco building on Winchester Pike.
