Kenmore viewed across Loch Tay The biggest island in the loch, known as the Isle of Loch Tay, or in Gaelic Eilean nam Ban-naomh , 'Isle of Holy Women', is just north of Kenmore. It was the site of a nunnery in the 12th century and was the burial place of Queen Sibylla (d. 1122), wife of Alexander I of Scotland (1107–24).
Taymouth Castle is situated to the north-east of the village of Kenmore, Perth and Kinross, in the Highlands of Scotland, in an estate which encompasses 450 acres (180 ha). [1] It lies on the south bank of the River Tay, about 1 mile (1.6 km) from Loch Tay, in the heartland of the Grampian Mountains.

Across the road from the former school building lies the remains of Fearnan Pier, one of five intermediate piers served from 1882 [2] to 1939 by the Loch Tay Steamboat Company later Caledonian (LMS) Railway's steamers plying from Killin to Kenmore and back. One novel feature at Fearnan was the collie dog belonging to the postmaster.
Acharn (Scottish Gaelic: Àth a' Chàirn meaning 'Field of the Cairn[s]') is a hamlet in the Kenmore parish of the Scottish council area of Perth and Kinross.
