Vicksburg is a historic city in Warren County, Mississippi, United States.It is the county seat. The population was 21,573 at the 2020 census. [5] Located on a high bluff on the east bank of the Mississippi River across from Louisiana, Vicksburg was built by French colonists in 1719.
The Hotel Vicksburg was in constant use as a hotel, and owned by the Magnolia Hotel Company from July 1929 until 1975. [4] It is an eleven-story Colonial Revival style building, designed by the architectural firm of H.L. Stevens & Company. [5] In the late 1970s, the building was remodeled and turned into apartments.
