The Miracles were the Motown Record Corporation's first group and its first million-selling recording artists. During their nineteen-year run on the American music charts, the Miracles charted over fifty hits and recorded in the genres of doo-wop, soul, disco, and R&B. Twenty-six Miracles songs reached the top 10 of the Billboard R&B singles chart, including four R&B number ones.
Editors of AllMusic Guide scored this album 2.5 out of five stars, with reviewer Andrew Hamilton considering it "the weakest to date" due to lackluster lyrics by Christine Yarian and poor production choices by Freddie Perren. [1] In the 1983 edition of The New Rolling Stone Record Guide, this album was scored three out of five stars. [2]
The Ultimate Collection is a compact disc by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, released on Motown Records, catalogue 314530857-2, in February 1998. It is a collection of singles comprising many of the group's greatest hits , with liner notes written by Stu Hackel.
Miracles Bobby Rogers, Claudette Rogers Robinson, Pete Moore, and Ronnie White blend their voices into their trademark smooth harmonies to punctuate Smokey's vocals on the chorus and elsewhere. "(You Can) Depend on Me" was first released in September 1959 as the B-side of "The Feeling Is So Fine", which was quickly withdrawn. [ 1 ]
The album was released on CD in 2001 in a two-in-one set with the Miracles' album, Time Out for Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. The CD release contains an alternative mix of "Don't Say You Love Me" which contains finished background vocals.

"Do It Baby" (TS334), was a 1974 R&B album by The Miracles issued on Motown's Tamla subsidiary label. It was noted as the second album by the group featuring new lead singer Billy Griffin, after the departure of original Miracles lead singer Smokey Robinson two years earlier.
