Hal Higdon (born June 17, 1931) is an American writer and runner known for his training plans. [1] He is the author of 34 books, including the best-selling Marathon: The Ultimate Training Guide . He has worked as a freelance writer since 1959, and has written a variety of subjects including a children's book that was made into an animated feature.

The HAL HJT-16 Kiran ("Ray of light") is an Indian two-seat intermediate jet-powered trainer aircraft designed and manufactured by aircraft company Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The Kiran was developed at the behest of the Indian Air Force (IAF), who sought a new intermediate trainer aircraft for its pilots.
As of 2023, the Armed Forces plans to retire its fleet of around 400 HAL Chetak and Cheetah from 2027 onwards and is planning to replace them with the modern LUH. The Army has a deficiency of the light helicopters. There are around 190 units of these helicopters of which at least 25 are in MRO at HAL. This is down from 246 units in count.
