Punta Higüero Light (Spanish: Faro de Punta Higüero) is a historic lighthouse located in the municipality of Rincón on the westernmost point, known as Punta Higüero, in the main island of Puerto Rico. The original building was built in 1892 by the Spanish government and was rebuilt in 1922 by the United States Coast Guard. [3]
Punta Maldonado (also known as El Faro on account of the nearby lighthouse) [3] is a small coastal community in the Mexican state of Guerrero. The nearby harbour in Puerto de Mogán has two smaller aids to navigation, which mark the entrance to the port and marina. On the main breakwater is a light mounted on a tower above the centre of the El Faro restaurant. Painted white with red bands, the lantern on the 6 m tower emits a flashing red light. [2] [4]
