Island Park is a village located in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, New York, United States. It is a neighbor to Long Beach to the south, and Oceanside to the north. The population was 4,928 at the time of the 2020 census.
The hamlet is one of five municipalities located on Long Beach Barrier Island – a barrier island lying just south of Long Island. It is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the south, Reynolds Channel on the north, the Village of Atlantic Beach to the west, and the City of Long Beach to the east. [2]
