Megumin wakes up the next day and chases after Yunyun, receiving a blessing from Cecily on the way. Meanwhile, Host neutralizes most of Yunyun's party, but she is able to cast a paralyze spell on Host but accidentally paralyzes herself as well. Megumin then arrives and casts her explosion on Host, destroying him.
The following day, Megumin shows Kazuma and Aqua around the village, visiting her school and the storage building that holds the Mage Killer, a weapon capable of destroying the world. They later find Darkness fighting Sylvia and her army, but Sylvia retreats after learning of the defeat of Verdia , Vanir , and Hans from Kazuma.
The party learns from Yunyun that the Crimson Demon village is under attack by one of Devil King's generals, Sylvia. At Megumin's request, the party follows Yunyun to the village. There, Kazuma makes advances towards Megumin and learns that a Japanese man created the Crimson Demons - along with weaponry to counter the Devil King's attacks.
