    I see an article titled "Autism Network International" that is almost entirely about one of ANI's activities, Autreat. In the 90s, in particular, ANI was at least as noteable for its email discussion list (ANI-L) and, to a lesser extent, its pen pal directory and web resources. I am an autistic person in my mid-40s who joined ANI in 1993ish.
