Wolfe County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky.As of the 2020 census, the population was 6,562. [1] Its county seat is Campton. [2] The county is named for Nathaniel Wolfe, one of the first two graduates of the University of Virginia School of Laws in 1829 and a loyal Unionist attorney for Jefferson County, Kentucky.

Bethany is a farm community which lies 7 miles southeast of Campton the county seat of Wolfe County, KY. Its elevation in 830 feet and its population is approximately 300. It is home to Bethany Christian Mission. A small private school serving approximately 30 students. Bethany is known for its rolling hills and cattle farms. [1]

Helechawa is an unincorporated community in Wolfe County, Kentucky, United States. The town of Helechawa was established in 1901 along the route of the Ohio and Kentucky Railroad. The president of the railway coined the name from that of his daughter, Helen Chas Walbridge. The folklore behind the name comes from civil war times.
