Milford Ice Pavilion is a 1,000-seat skating rink in Milford, Connecticut. It is home to the Milford Indians co-op high school team, and Sacred Heart University Pioneers men's ice hockey team until 2016. The building opened in 1975 and was renovated in 1985. It also serves several local hockey high school and club level teams.
In 1998, the Connecticut Bonding Commission approved $2 million to fund the building of a new ice rink in downtown Hartford. [2] While the funding was a necessary first step, the final cost of the rink would far exceed the sum from the state.

During this time, the team's home rink was the UConn Ice Arena, an outdoor facility. The team was finally promoted to D-I in 1998 when the Mark Edward Freitas Ice Forum was completed. The Huskies used the Forum as their home for the next 18 years. In 2014, UConn joined Hockey East despite the Ice Forum not meeting the league's requirements. [2]
The rink is open for ice skating from late October to early April. From 2003 until 2019, Victorian Gardens, a seasonal amusement park for children, was operated on the site from late May to September. Wollman Rink opened in 1950, having been proposed four years earlier. The rink was closed for renovations in late 1980 and reopened in November 1986.
